A Beautiful Design, Ribbed Mother of Pearl Handle on Both Sides, Leading To a Ribbed Hilt and Engraved Spine.
Slight Crazing To One Side of The Handle.
This Fruit Knife Was Hallmarked in Sheffield, 1905 With Makers Mark JYC - John Yeomans Cowlishaw
First Registered in May 1854 at Market Street, Sheffield; then in succession: Baker's Hill; Arundel Street; Napier Street.
Cowlishaw Senior committed suicide in 1895 and the business was continued by his son.
Open Measurement is Approximately 15.7cm, Closed 9cm and Blade 7cm.
The Mother of Pearl Width Graduates From 10.2mm to 17.1mm.
Slight Nibbles to the End of The Blade, Scratches Both Sides Which Could Polish Out, Blade Opens and Closes Fully.
There Are No Chips or Noticeable Scratches To Either Side of The Mother of Pearl.
