Silver and Australian Opal Pendant, Large Double Sided Opal
Handmade Australian Andamooka Opal Pendant,
Beautiful Double Sided Opal pendant topped with a Sterling Silver Loop,
This piece has been cut from a large piece of Sugar Treated Australian Andamooka Opal -
My plans for this Opal were to have kept it as a collectors piece, it has sat on my bench like a few projects do for over a year. I finally plucked up the courage to cut as there are some beautiful dark colours on the face if nothing was inside.
The white base in the Centre had colour both sides so this gave me a little confidence, I am so glad it did, the colour inside is amazing compared to the dark outer. Every colour is within the white side, blue, red, green, orange and yellow. There are two other pieces cut from this Opal though this is the largest and most colourful.
Measurements of the Opal are: 29.5 mm x 21 mm and 5.5 mm thick.
Total length including pendant loop is 34 mm.
This is an awesome piece with such durability for matching with outfits, unique piece of Opal Jewellery.
