Oval Australian Opal Doublets and Silver Drop Earrings.

These Are Solidly Made In A Double Collet Claw Setting With Oval Opals, Originating From Coober Pedy -Southern Australia.

Light Blue Base Colour With Green and Orange. A Slight Flicker of Red.
Earrings Measure approximately 7 mm in Length x 5.1 mm Wide, With a Depth of 5.1 mm.

Even Before Todays Society of 'Waste Not Want Not' They are created from Opal That Is Too Thin to Produce a Solid Stone. Opal Doublets Are an Inexpensive Way to Buy a Colorful Piece of Precious Opal Without The Cost Associated With Solid Black Opal.

in 1956 the “Olympic Australis” was found - it is said to be the largest and most valuable Opal ever found. This amazing Opal weighs 17,000 Carats and was named in honour of the Olympic games which were being held in Melbourne at the time.

Please Avoid Rapid Changes in Temperature i.e. Showering or Washing Your Hands in Hot Water, Fairy Liquid Over Time Can Be Abrasive Over Time Making Your Opal Dull - We Specialise in Re-Polishing Opals Especially Antique Opal.

Gardening in Any Jewellery Should Be a No No, Dirt is Abrasive and Will Scratch Your Gem Set and Gold/Silver Jewellery.

When Placing Your Jewellery in a Box Please Gently Pop Them Down, Try To Keep All Gemstones Separate
